http://www.columbia.edu/ccnmtl/draft/kristen/ferguson/
This page is the index for a set of RealAudio sound files arranged to mimic a cassette tape recording of the tracks below. The sound files have been encoded three different ways to account for different bandwidth requirements. The RealMedia server will stream the best encoding that your connection can handle. Note that no sound files are downloaded to your computer during the process.

I am constantly asked if it's legal to download songs found on various non-commercial sites, such as this one.
Well, I'm neither a lawyer nor a technician, and I've begun to wonder if it was legal for us to tape music off the radio back when tape recorders first came into being.
And were we committing a crime when we recorded a movie shown on TV with our VCRs? And was it really legal to buy a dual-deck recorder for the express purpose of duplicating cassettes?

My answer to all of the above is, "I don't know." Nonetheless, here is a formal statement in some kind of legalize that appears to apply to this kind of file availability:
The songs on this site are copyrighted by their respective artists and are placed here for evaluation purposes only. No profits are made on this site from their use.

Russian retro music in mp3, it's good if you know at least the Russian letters to find out yourself in the menu, choose Katalogi Fonoteki first. No English version.

Régi orosz bakelit lemezek mp3-ban, jó, ha még emlékszel egy kicsit az orosz betűkre, először válaszd a Katalogi Fonoteki menüt. Csak oroszul van, más nyelv nincs.

We call it "try before you buy." It's the shareware model applied to music. Listen to 525 complete MP3 albums from musicians we work with (not 30 second snippets).
We let the music sell itself, because we think that's the best way to get you excited by it.
We pick the best submissions from independent musicians so you don't have to.
If you like what you hear, download an album for as little as $5 (you pick the price), or buy a real CD, or license our music for commercial use. And no copy protection (DRM), ever.
Artists keep half of every purchase. And unlike most record labels, they keep all the rights to their music.
No major label connections.
We are not evil.
